Get4oBack is not owned by or affiliated with OpenAI. We are an independent product that uses the GPT-4o API. This article explains what that means: same model, different company, and why it matters for you.

What we are

We are a small independent team. We built Get4oBack to give people access to GPT-4o in a chat interface after OpenAI removed it from ChatGPT. We use OpenAI's developer API - we pay for API usage like any developer - but we are not part of OpenAI. We do not speak for them; they do not speak for us. Our terms, privacy policy, and support are ours.

Why it matters

You get the same GPT-4o model (and Our-4o as backup) but from a product focused only on that experience. We set our own pricing, limits, and roadmap. If OpenAI changes ChatGPT again, we are not bound by those decisions. We are transparent about using their API and about our independence.

Support and terms

Get4oBack support, privacy policy, and terms of service are ours - not OpenAI's. When you contact us or read our policies, you are dealing with the team that runs Get4oBack. We do not speak for OpenAI and cannot help with OpenAI account or API issues that are outside our product. For anything related to using Get4oBack - billing, import, password, usage - we are the right place.

Same model, different product

You get the same GPT-4o model (and Our-4o as backup) through Get4oBack, but the product is built and run by us. We choose the features (folders, search, import, web search), the pricing, and the roadmap. If you liked ChatGPT when it had 4o, you get that model back in a focused app - no dependency on OpenAI's product decisions. We are transparent that we use their API and that we are independent. For many users, that clarity is a plus.
