GPT-4o vs Our-4o: Which One Should You Use in Get4oBack?
In Get4oBack you can choose between the real GPT-4o (via the API) and Our-4o (our continuity model). Both aim for the same tone and feel. When to use which and why Our-4o exists as a backup.
GPT-4o: the original
GPT-4o is the OpenAI model we call via the API. It is the same family as the ChatGPT-4o you used to have. We tune the experience so it feels familiar. Use it when you want the actual 4o model and the API is available. It is the default for most users.
Our-4o: the backup
Our-4o is our continuity layer: it runs on newer GPT versions but is calibrated to feel like 4o. We built it so that if OpenAI ever retires the 4o API, you can switch to Our-4o and keep the same kind of experience. You can try it anytime in the app and compare. Many users find the tone very close.
Which to use
Use GPT-4o by default. Switch to Our-4o to test it or if the 4o API is ever unavailable. Both are available in Get4oBack; you pick in the app. No extra cost - same plans, same interface.
Switching between GPT-4o and Our-4o
In Get4oBack you can change the model in settings or when starting a new chat. If the 4o API has an outage, we may automatically offer Our-4o so you can keep chatting. Your history and folders work the same with either model. Try Our-4o side by side with 4o on a few conversations to see how close the tone is - many users find it very similar. That way you are ready if OpenAI ever retires the 4o API.
No extra cost
Both GPT-4o and Our-4o use the same token allowance. There is no surcharge for choosing one or the other. So you can use 4o when it is available and switch to Our-4o for testing or during an outage without worrying about different pricing. Same plans (Free, Plus, Pro), same limits. We built Our-4o so that your experience stays consistent even if the API landscape changes; you are not locked into a single provider.
Summary
GPT-4o is the API model; Our-4o is our backup that mimics it. Use 4o normally; switch to Our-4o to try it or if 4o is unavailable. Same plans, same app.
