How to Import ChatGPT History to Another App (Get4oBack, Grok, or Any AI)
You can import your ChatGPT history into another AI chat app - Get4oBack, Grok XAI, or others that support it. The process is: export your data from ChatGPT, then use the target app's import flow. This guide covers the steps and what to expect so your conversations come with you when you switch.
Step 1: Export from ChatGPT
In ChatGPT, go to Settings (profile icon) - Data Controls - Export Data. Click Export. OpenAI will email you a download link (often within minutes; sometimes up to a few days). Download the zip file before the link expires (e.g. 24 hours). The zip contains your conversations (e.g. in conversations.json format) that you can use to import elsewhere.
Step 2: Import into your new app
Each app has its own import process. For Get4oBack Pro: use the ChatGPT import option in the app to upload or provide your exported file; we will process it and add your conversations so you can continue them with GPT-4o. For Grok XAI or other apps: check that product's help or blog for their official import or transfer steps. The export from ChatGPT is standard; what varies is how each app accepts it. Get4oBack is built for people who want to switch to GPT-4o and keep their history in one place.
Why import?
Importing lets you keep your past conversations when you move to a new AI. You do not start from zero. You can reference or continue old threads. If you are leaving ChatGPT for Get4oBack (to use GPT-4o again), Grok, or another app, an export-then-import flow is the way to bring your history with you.
Summary
Export your ChatGPT data from Data Controls - Export. Download the zip from the email. Then use your new app's import feature (e.g. Get4oBack Pro for GPT-4o, or the equivalent for Grok XAI or others) to transfer your conversation history.
